This is one of those cake toppers that I have a hard time letting go of. I love purple as it is, but with some Fuchsia added in, it’s irresistible eye candy!
The server set was faded from Amethyst to Fuchsia to Lt Amethyst to Crystal AB to Crystal. I don’t usually span such a wide range but it came out so well that I am excited to try it with the other colors.
I just want to take a minute and thank those of my past customers that take the time to send the professional pictures to their vendors. Especially with as long as they can take to come in! It’s kind of like knowing a friend is pregnant and not getting to see the baby pics after it’s born. I often wonder how many of these cake toppers finally look on their cakes. I love to see everything come together and I’m sure I speak for all the other vendors, too.
This butterfly is a great use of the orange toned colors. The Hyacinth added to the Topaz (burnt orange) and Sun (vibrant orange) gives it a fiery vibrancy. When I do custom shapes, I like to use the colors that represent how they’d be found in nature. With a butterfly, pretty much anything goes, but this is especially good to keep in mind for other shapes that are customary to one color scheme.
If you are looking for a cake topper made with CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements and already have a pre-designed logo, send me what you have! I can work with many different formats (including PDF and JPG). More often than not, it can be made into a crystal cake topper!
My home page receives a lot of compliments and inquiries. I have deduced that it is largely in part to the crystals that are scattered around the letter. What isn’t visible in the picture is the fact that the crystals are the same flat-backed stones that I use to cover my crystal cake toppers and crystal server sets which had to be flipped over by hand, one by one, for the photograph.
What if you didn’t have to flip them over? What if they looked like perfectly cut 3-D diamonds!? Voila: an addition to my product line is born. As the picture below shows, they are only available in “Crystal”. The colored stones are not being made by Swarovski at this time.
I ordered a bunch of sizes and came up with the best looking mixture, which includes 3 sizes ranging from 1/2″ to 3/8″ diameter. I have only begun to play around with the stones and they are MAGICAL. A little goes a long way or you can cluster them together for a very rich, over-the-top look. They are NOT acrylic. They are CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements so they sparkle like mad and they can be added anywhere: to tiers of the actual cake, the cake table, the sign-in table, gift table, between table settings, surrounding unity candles… I can go on and on.
I do not stock the scatter crystals but would be happy to custom order them based on the quantity needed. Please note that these are not acrylic and are not priced like acrylic… if you catch my drift. Please contact me if you would like to know more about pricing and the quantity they come in.
How cute is this!? Had to share the idea… (thanks Nicole!)
The colors of this crystal cake topper were diligently selected to match a sea foam green pillow case that was used as the inspiration in devising the perfect color palette for this event. I was shocked to receive the actual pillow case in the mail and while I don’t recommend mailing me your furnishings, I also have a “whatever works” mentality towards getting everything perfect for your big day.
Sorry for the pun but I truly thought this picture was a great idea. It came out great! Thought some of you other brides would benefit from seeing it. This particular monogram cake topper was a 4″. This is worth mentioning since I often get asked for pictures of 4″ letters on their wedding cakes. This is one of the few I have! A faded server set that compliments a Tiffany Blue color theme:
I don’t do as many partially covered monograms but with the right font choice, they come out really well. Most people have a “the more, the merrier” attitude when picking out their cake topper, but this is to show that sometimes less can be more. Choosing the fuller curvier fonts is key!
